The Offshore Support Vessel Summit China is the annual conference hosted by Ridge China and took place in Shanghai from the 7th – 8th of September. Over 150 industry experts and corporate decision makers from government, classification societies, ship-owners, ship-yards, oil and gas service companies as well as research institutes, technology/equipment suppliers and consulting companies used the international platform to communicate and to have indepth discussions about the current issues of market, regulations, designs and standards for new ship models, innovative and sustainable ship technologies.
Peter Andersen, the manager partner of e-powered marine solutions GmbH & Co. KG, was represented by its Chinese contractual partner CSIC China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. He took the chance and presented the patented power supply concepts E-PP (electric power pack) and pointed out the advantages in comparison with a traditional diesel electric network and propulsion system. In Asia the system has their debut in 2017 on a Chinese research ship.
